The Abundance of Community: Why I'm the Richest "Starving" Artist in Eindhoven

In today’s fast-paced world, it's easy to lose sight of the incredible power of community. As an artist living and working here in Woensel-West, my journey as Dwaalhaas has been enriched not just by creative expression, but by the constant generosity of my neighbors.

People often romanticize the "starving artist" struggle, but the reality of my life here is entirely different. I'm not hungry; in fact, my studio is constantly stocked with spontaneous gifts of food and useful items dropped off at my door. I can't remember the last time I had to buy my own clothes, because the neighborhood simply ensures I'm warmly dressed.

These gestures aren't about charity; they are about connection and community spirit. It reminds me why opening this space to the public was the right choice. So, here is not just an update from my studio, but a toast to the incredible people of Woensel-West.
